The Dalston Paedophile, Adam Liddell, 40, was identified in part due to the online investigative efforts of one of his victims, a 12-year-old girl who was left terrified by his attempt to sexually groom her with the intention of arranging a meeting, as shown in Carlisle Crown Court.
He voluntarily presented himself to the police following a message from one of the girl’s acquaintances, who accused him of being a paedophile and advised him to leave.
The defendant, Adam Liddell, from Low Moorlands, Dalston, near Carlisle, acknowledged five charges: two counts of sexually communicating with a minor; persuading a minor to participate in sexual conduct; inducing a minor to observe sexual activity; and possessing extreme pornography depicting bestiality.
Adam Liddell was sentenced to incarceration for two years and one month. Liddell is required to remain on the Sex Offender Register indefinitely, and a 15-year sexual harm prevention order will be implemented to mitigate the risk he presents.
