A primary school Blackburn Paedophile Teacher, William Chambers, has been permanently prohibited from the profession following his incarceration for participation in an international paedophile network.
William Chambers was worked at educational institutions in Blackburn and Burnley, Lancashire, from 1998 to 2022.
A 61-year-old individual confessed to three charges of producing indecent images and/or pseudo-photographs of a minor and was sentenced to 20 months in prison in 2024.
A professional conduct tribunal stated that he exhibited no contrition and observed that the sentencing judge determined William Chambers was “a paedophile with a perverse sexual interest in young boys.”
Subsequent to an inquiry by the National Crime Agency (NCA), William Chambers was apprehended at his residence in Blackburn, where 1,564 indecent photos were discovered on his devices.
Investigators determined that the photographs were provided via the dark web by a Belgian national affiliated with a gang incarcerated in 2023.
Subsequent to William Chambers’ imprisonment, the case was forwarded to the Teaching Regulation Agency in March 2024.
The panel received a copy of the conviction certificate from Preston Crown Court, indicating that William Chambers pleaded guilty and was mandated to register on the Sex Offenders Register for a duration of 10 years, as well as being subjected to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for the same period.
It was also noted that Mr. William Chambers may be subject to a prohibition on working with children and vulnerable individuals.
The panel stated that William Chambers’ acts were “evidently pertinent” to his “role and position of trust as an educator”.
They stated that “the conduct associated with perpetrating the offence would have affected the safety and security of students and the public.”
The report stated that educators must “uphold an exemplary standard of integrity and ethical conduct at all times.”
The panel determined that William Chambers’ acts were “deliberate,” “calculated, and motivated.”
William Chambers was indefinitely barred from teaching and is unable to seek restoration of his teaching credentials, however he was granted 28 days to appeal to the High Court.
