The Bangor Paedophile, Wayne Barry Williams, 34, was convicted after confessing to attempting to initiate sexual communication with a minor.
In December 2023, a paedophile hunter organisation that created a fictitious internet profile of a youngster alerted the authorities after getting communication with Wayne Barry Williams.
Wayne Barry Williams transmitted a friend request to the profile of a 13-year-old girl and initiated communication with the account, soliciting sexual photographs and dispatching explicit images and videos of himself.
Wayne Barry Williams was apprehended for the offence six days following his release from incarceration for a prior offence.
He was reincarcerated for violating the terms of his licence. On January 16, he was incarcerated for two years and six months.
Wayne Barry Williams was also subjected to an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
