Back in 2018, the sentence for the Harrow Paedophile and child abuser, Usmaan Rafiq Ahmad, was extended by 4 years. Usmaan Rafiq Ahmad, who persistently sexually assaulted a young child over several years, has had his sentence augmented following a referral by the Solicitor General, Robert Buckland QC MP, due to its inadequacy.

Usmaan Rafiq Ahmad, aged 35, systematically sexually molested his victim for eight years, during which she was between the ages of three and eleven.

At that time, Usmaan Rafiq Ahmad was aged between 14 and 21.

The impact of these acts has been enduring and profound, resulting in persistent psychological challenges.

Usmaan Rafiq Ahmad was initially sentenced to 4 years and 6 months of incarceration at Harrow Crown Court.

In 2018, after the Solicitor General’s reference, the Court of Appeal increased his sentence to 8 years and 6 months in prison.

Commenting on the sentence increase, the Solicitor General said: “I am pleased that the Court of Appeal has agreed that Usmaan Rafiq Ahmad’s sentence should have been higher.

Usmaan Rafiq Ahmad subjected a vulnerable child to consistent and repeated sexual abuse, which has had a lasting impact. I hope this decision can bring some comfort to the victim.”
