In 2022, Thomas Cannon, an Ammanford Paedophile, received a sentence of two years and eight months in prison following an intelligence-driven operation conducted by Tarian, the Regional Organised Crime Unit.
Thomas Cannon, 32 years old, was a registered sex offender following his 2018 conviction for sexual grooming, during which he attempted to engage with a 15-year-old girl (see image).
Subsequent to his early release from incarceration, he participated in sexual discourse online with an individual he believed to be a 13-year-old girl. An inquiry was initiated, including Tarian and Dyfed Powys Police.
Thomas Cannon was promptly apprehended and discovered to be in possession of indecent photos of minors. Having already been registered as a sex offender, he also violated the imposed limits.
On Thursday, November 3, Thomas Cannon appeared in Swansea Crown Court, where he had earlier entered a guilty plea. He was incarcerated for a duration of two years and eight months.
