The Waterston Paedophile, Terry Hughes, a former male model from West Wales, already under a sexual harm prevention order, established various internet accounts impersonating a 15-year-old and solicited minors for photographs of themselves, a court was informed.

Terry Hughes, 41, was a registered sex offender due to prior offences. Police were alerted to suspicions over internet activity associated with an IP address traced to him.

Upon their arrival at his residence in Pembrokeshire, he originally informed the cops that he possessed no devices; however, he subsequently provided them with a mobile phone located by his bed.

Upon examining the device, it was evident that between last September and June of this year, Hughes had established a Snapchat account and was impersonating a 15-year-old.

Prosecution lawyer Alycia Carpanini informed Swansea Crown Court that Terry Hughes was interacting with individuals he presumed to be under 18 and soliciting nude photographs from them.

He additionally transmitted images of himself. One image transmitted is purported to depict him engaging in masturbation.

Communication occurred with an individual whom Terry Hughes presumed to be 10 years old, beside an adult male with a four-year-old son, and there were discussions on a young child in a nappy.

Terry Hughes, residing on Meadow Way in Waterston, Milford Haven, also transmitted explicit nude photographs of himself to others.

Having pleaded guilty to two counts of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child, attempting to cause a child to view an image of a sexual act, making an indecent image, and breaching a sexual harm prevention order, Hughes appeared to be sentenced on Wednesday, July 30.

Miss Carpanini told the court that Terry Hughes had two previous convictions, both related to sexual offences involving children.

Judge Geraint Walters told Terry Hughes that he “relentlessly pursued an interest in engaging with this behaviour” and handed him a prison sentence of two years.

Terry Hughes was also told he will be the subject of a new SHPO which will be in place for a period of 10 years.
