A registered Paedophile sex offender from Medway, Stuart Wenham, has been incarcerated once more after law enforcement confiscated a concealed phone carrying over 600 animated graphics illustrating the abuse of minors.
Stuart Wenham was released from jail in March 2025, after which he disregarded court-imposed restrictions designed to prevent recidivism and downloaded material that included the abuse of an infant under one year of age.
Stuart Wenham was previously convicted in 2023 for producing indecent photographs of children.
Upon being granted parole, he was subjected to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and was required to adhere to notification obligations associated with his use of devices and software.
Shortly after his release, cops suspected he was utilising two phones; however, they had only informed the police about one.
Stuart Wenham was apprehended on June 6, resulting in the confiscation of the unregistered phone.
Upon review, it was discovered to comprise a collection of ‘pseudo-cartoon’ images associated with the sexual exploitation of minors.
Stuart Wenham had been unlawfully utilising a VPN and, during prior inspections by specialised police overseeing sex offenders, consistently neglected to disclose the phone.
Additional evidence emerged during the examination of a laptop that Stuart Wenham had concealed. This indicated unauthorised utilisation of cloud storage and the erasure of his browser history.
During police interrogations, he informed detectives that he perceived the images depicting abuse as not involving real children and that they seemed to be content.
Stuart Wenham, 47, of unspecified residence, admitted guilt at Maidstone Crown Court for several violations of a sexual harm prevention order and noncompliance with notification obligations. He also confessed to possessing an illicit photograph of a minor.
On 12 September 2025, the judge characterised him as ‘a dangerous man’ with an extensive history of egregious comparable acts.
Stuart Wenham received a four-year prison sentence.
