The Offender Database has reported that Stephen Sussams, the Folkestone paedophile child molester, has received a prison sentence for attempting to engage in sexual relations with a teenage boy.
Stephen Sussams, 62, journeyed from his residence to sexually exploit a teenage child he had identified on social media.
The grooming commenced on 4 July 2025, when Stephen Sussams established contact via a messaging channel. He established the child’s trust by initially engaging in mundane discussions before progressing to sexually explicit dialogues.
Over the course of two weeks, Stephen Sussams transmitted multiple graphic messages using platforms such as Snapchat. He persistently solicited explicit photographs of the child and articulated the sexual actions he intended to perform upon a potential in-person meeting.
On 23 July 2025, Stephen Sussams was apprehended while awaiting the child’s arrival. Upon his apprehension, he declined to provide the attending cops with the passcode to his phone.
He was accused on the same day of several crimes, including orchestrating or enabling the perpetration of a child sex offence.
On Wednesday, November 12, 2025, Stephen Sussams, residing on Biggins Wood Road in Folkestone, received a sentence of two and a half years in jail at Canterbury Crown Court. Upon release, he will be subjected to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and will be registered as a sex offender.
