Stephen Rilley, the Margate Paedophile, who inflicted continuous torture on a youngster in Margate, commencing in the early 2000s, has received a 19-year prison sentence.

Stephen Rilley, 63, of Hastings Avenue, Margate, was convicted of several charges following a Kent Police investigation initiated in January 2025, after the victim reported the incidents.

Investigating authorities discovered that Stephen Rilley employed threats of violence to intimidate and exert control over the victim, in addition to often providing sedatives. The maltreatment persisted for almost twenty years.

Stephen Rilley admitted guilt to 11 offences, encompassing several counts of rape, in August 2025. On Thursday, October 16, 2025, he received a sentence of 19 years imprisonment, followed by an additional three years under the conditions of an extended licence.

Stephen Rilley will also be permanently listed on the sex offenders registry.
