The Offender Database has reported that Stephen Heap, Oldham Rapist and Sex Offender, has received a 16-year prison sentence for sexually assaulting a female in the Vale of Glamorgan.
His actions were reported to South Wales Police in 2020, when a victim courageously stepped forward.
Witnesses were located throughout the UK as part of a comprehensive and extended inquiry.
Stephen Heap, of Chadderton, Oldham, denied the charges but was convicted after a trial at Cardiff Crown Court in June 2025.
He was convicted of nine offences: four counts of indecent assault, two counts of sexual assault, one count of assault of a minor by penetration, one count of sexual conduct with a child, and one count of assault by penetration.
On November 7, 2025, the 58-year-old Stephen Heap received a sentence of 16 years in jail, along with an additional one-year extended licence, at Merthyr Crown Court.
