Stefan Marin, the Hull Child Killer, who assaulted a pregnant English teenager, has been convicted of ‘utterly cruel’ violence, resulting in the loss of the teenager’s unborn child.

Stefan Marin, 19, of New George Street, Hull, was unanimously convicted by a jury of child destruction, severe bodily injury with intent, non-fatal strangulation, false detention, and perverting the course of justice after a nine-day trial.

Over a duration of four hours on March 13 of this year, Stefan Marin brutally assaulted the 17-year-old female, who was 29 weeks pregnant, employing methods such as punching, kicking, strangling, and scorching.

While the victim attempted to shield her unborn child, Stefan Marin directed his assault towards her abdomen, as presented before Hull Crown Court.

Subsequently, despite her initial refusal to permit departure, Stefan Marin compelled the 17-year-old girl to don clean attire before coercing her to exit the flat where the attack occurred.

CCTV evidence recorded Stefan Marin escorting the woman to the alleyway’s apex and abandoning her, demonstrating a complete lack of concern for her well-being.

Before departing, he cautioned her against disclosing the incident, threatening to inflict harm upon her and her family should she do so.

A 29-week pregnant woman was discovered fallen on the street by a bystander at approximately 10:20 PM, exhibiting signs of bleeding and diminished consciousness.

She sustained severe facial injuries and was promptly transported to the hospital, where it was determined that she had a fractured nose and experienced substantial trauma to her body.

Imaging indicated that her foetus had expired. Merely days prior, the infant had been verified as healthy without any issues.

Officers arrived at Stefan Marin’s residence and discovered it had been sanitised, with a pervasive bleach odour present.

The victim’s abandoned garments were located outside the premises.

Stefan Marin was apprehended at Great Thornton Street on March 14.

Stefan Marin is scheduled to be sentenced at Hull Crown Court on a future date.

A statement was read out in court on behalf of the unnamed victim.

She said, ‘What happened to me was something no one should ever go through. I was beaten for hours and suffered injuries that permanently changed my life – but the most significant pain of all was losing my baby boy.

‘I’ve had to find strength I never knew I had, and while nothing can bring my baby back, I hope that by speaking out, I can help others who are living with abuse realise there is a way out and that they are not alone.

‘I want to thank the doctors, nurses, the police, and most of all my family and friends who have supported me throughout this long journey.’
