The Offender Database reported that, in 2018, Stanley Forbes, the Edinburgh Paedophile Child Molester, aged 61, was sentenced to 18 years in prison after being found guilty at the High Court in Edinburgh of raping minors between 2000 and 2001.
The court was informed that Forbes, aged 44 at the time of his 2002 conviction, exploited the youths by providing them companionship and money in exchange for narcotics.
He targeted his victims, including a 13-year-old child prostitute, at locations on Clepington Road and Foggylea Gardens.
Two further females assaulted by Forbes, previously of Clepington Street, were aged 14 and 16 at the time.
Forbes asserted that the girls, despite being unfamiliar with one another, fabricated the accusations against him out of malice.
He stated that the 14-year-old harboured a “teenage crush” on him, persistently contacted him via her mobile phone, and fabricated the narrative to implicate him after he rebuffed her advances.
A jury convicted him on four counts of rape following the trial.
Stanley Forbes died in prison.
