Sonny Coster has received a prison sentence subsequent to a brutal assault at a pub that resulted in his victim sustaining severe injuries, including cerebral haemorrhages. A 22-year-old assaulted the victim by striking him multiple times in the head with empty half-pint glasses during an unprovoked attack at the Station House Pub on Barden Road.

The violent assault occurred on the evening of December 3, 2022, when Sonny Coster was in the Station House Pub on Barden Road, Tonbridge, accompanied by numerous associates. The victim, who was engaged in a game of pool with a companion and was unfamiliar with Sonny Coster, claimed feeling increasingly uncomfortable as multiple individuals directed their gaze towards him.

During the onset of the altercation, Sonny Coster was in the bar garden but swiftly entered and equipped himself with a glass in each hand. He assaulted the victim from behind, employing a large overhead swing and smashing his head with a glass.

The victim was incapacitated on the ground, while Sonny Coster persisted in assaulting him with both glasses, targeting his head, face, and neck with repeated strikes. He ultimately absconded from the location with the other members of his group.

The individual was sent to the hospital with multiple cerebral haemorrhages, along with injuries such as fractured teeth and ribs. The police stated that he continues to contend with enduring injuries from the assault, in addition to psychological damage.

Sonny Coster was apprehended on February 28, 2023, and accused with inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent. Sonny Coster, 22, of Scott Road, Tonbridge, entered a guilty plea at Maidstone Crown Court.

On April 10, he received a sentence of four years and nine months in prison. Sonny Coster was informed that he must complete two-thirds of his sentence prior to applying for release.
