In 2018, the Offender Database reported that Sian Rees, the Exeter Animal and Child Abuser, then 29, from Devon EX1 2UG, abandoned a property, leaving an XL Bully to perish from starvation slowly.
Sian Rees resulted in the demise of the dog, Kimmi (not pictured), due to a “prolonged period of abandonment and neglect” occurring between December 2023 and January of this year.
RSPCA Inspector Miranda Albinson, who investigated the animal protection organisation, stated: “The circumstances surrounding Kimmi’s death are profoundly tragic and resulted from her owner’s appalling disregard for another living being.”
“Possessing a dog like Kimmi is a privilege, and it is distressing to contemplate her experiences after being abandoned to perish.
”Canines experience pain and suffering akin to humans and merit empathy and compassion.
“We urge any pet owner facing difficulties in caring for their animal to contact a local charity or organisation for assistance.”
Sian Rees Sentencing: 15 weeks imprisonment, suspended for 18 months; 18-month supervision order; £354 in costs.
Sian Rees – Prohibited from possessing any animal for a duration of 10 years.
