A Southampton Paedophile, Shane Johnson, has confessed to owning severe pornographic materials, including indecent photographs of minors.

Shane Johnson, aged 23, appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on June 3 to face five charges.

He is charged with producing five category A indecent photographs of a child, the most severe classification, and 17 category B images of a child.

Two of them were moving photos, while 15 were still images.

Shane Johnson was additionally charged with possessing three severe pornographic photographs and three banned images of a youngster.

Shane Johnson was additionally charged with the creation of 89 category C obscene pictures of minors.

The offences occurred on August 26, 2023, in Southampton.

Shane Johnson, residing on Pennine Road in Southampton, admitted admission to all five allegations.

Shane Johnson is scheduled to appear before Southampton Crown Court on June 30.

The Sentencing Council states that the maximum penalty for possession of category A images is three years of imprisonment, whilst the maximum for category B photographs is 18 months of imprisonment.

The maximum term for possession of category C images is 26 weeks of imprisonment.

A Lidl warehouse employee and Southampton Paedophile, Shane Johnson, informed the police that he did not have sexual arousal towards minors, despite possessing a collection of indecent photographs.

At the age of 21, Shane Johnson’s explicit communications with minors on the messaging application Kik, along with a compilation of child sexual assault photographs, were uncovered on his mobile devices.

Shane Johnson’s misconduct was revealed in August 2023 when the National Crime Agency alerted Hampshire police to his Instagram account.

Indecent photos of minors were discovered on Shane Johnson’s Instagram account, prosecutor Christopher Wing informed Southampton Crown Court.

The court was informed that Shane Johnson, aged 23, was apprehended at his residence, and two gadgets were confiscated.

Mr. Wing stated that eighty-nine category C photos were discovered on his iPhone, in addition to four discussions on Kik.

In one chat, he discussed incestuous situations, while in another, he conversed with a teenage girl about extreme pornographic photographs.

“He subsequently received images from the girl who demanded payment for the content, which the defendant had promised.”

Shane Johnson, residing on Pennine Road, engaged in the internet pursuit of criminal content, and an examination of his Black Samsung phone uncovered three illegal photos of a kid.

The defendant informed the police officers that he had not utilised the phone in years, and it had been “sitting in his room accumulating dust.”

Mr. Wing stated: “During the interview, Shane Johnson claimed he received the indecent images and utilised Google solely to verify their authenticity.”

He stated that he felt endangered by individuals in the Google chatroom and was compelled to seek these photographs, asserting that he was not sexually attracted to children.

Shane Johnson possessed 118 indecent photographs on his mobile phone, encompassing categories A through C, including extreme and forbidden images.

Following Johnson’s guilty plea for possessing a forbidden image, possessing an extreme pornographic image, and three counts of creating indecent photos, Recorder Shamim Qureshi imposed a six-month sentence, suspended for two years.

He is required to fulfil a maximum of 30 days of rehabilitation activities and pay £150 in prosecution costs, along with a £154 surcharge. Johnson is under a seven-year sexual harm prevention order.
