District Judge Alana McSorley remanded Sam Brown on continuing bail to appear again on December 10.

UPDATE 2025

An East Sussex man has confessed to accusations of child sexual assault that took place in the Fermanagh region over a period of over one year.

Sam Brown (30) of Cliff Gardens, Peacehaven, pleaded guilty to four counts of deliberately inducing a child to participate in sexual activity and one count of gaining sexual gratification by compelling the child to view a picture of an individual engaged in sexual conduct.

He additionally confessed to voyeurism for sexual enjoyment by seeing the child perform a private act.

Several analogous cases were rejected.

No specifics regarding the charges were revealed during the brief hearing, except that there is one juvenile victim and the offences took place in the County Fermanagh region on multiple occasions between 1 August 2023 and 22 May 2024.

While in the dock of Dungannon Crown Court, Brown just affirmed his identity and sequentially entered pleas to the counts presented.

A prosecution lawyer stated he will seek guidance on the disputed topics to determine if they can be omitted from the court records and not pursued, given what has been acknowledged.

The defence counsel requested the preparation of pre-sentence papers and indicated their intention to have Brown undergo a psychiatric evaluation.

Judge Richard Green mandated that he sign the Sex Offender Register before to exiting the courtroom, cautioning that failure to comply constitutes a criminal crime.

Brown was granted continued bail and is scheduled to return for sentencing on September 3.
