Sajeenthira Dharmendra, the Aveley Rapist, who intoxicated a teenage girl with vodka before sexually assaulting her, has been sentenced to over nine years in prison.
Sajeenthira Dharmendra, 24, encountered the 17-year-old on an internet chat platform and scheduled a meeting with her in St Neots on 11 October of the previous year.
The victim, apprehensive about entering his vehicle, requested that he empty his pockets and inspect the trunk.
After receiving reassurance, she entered his vehicle, and they proceeded to a store where he purchased booze and a vape.
Sajeenthira Dharmendra compelled the youngster to consume substantial quantities of vodka mixed with cola, asserting that she would be “wasting his time” if she refused.
Upon arriving at the Riverside Car Park, Sajeenthira Dharmendra perpetrated a sexual attack on the victim, who requested him to cease his actions.
However, Sajeenthira Dharmendra compelled her to consume additional alcohol, leading to her loss of consciousness.
Upon regaining consciousness, the victim saw that the lower portion of her attire had been removed.
She possessed no memory of the events, yet she experienced pain.
The couple dozed off in the vehicle, and upon awakening in the early morning hours of the subsequent day, the victim accessed Sajeenthira Dharmendra’s phone and was appalled to discover he had recorded himself sexually assaulting her while she was incapacitated.
The victim transmitted the video to another device, thereby maintaining a record of his actions.
Upon awakening, Sajeenthira Dharmendra transported the victim to the town, where she sought refuge at a friend’s residence and then contacted the authorities.
Sajeenthira Dharmendra was subsequently apprehended at his residence in Essex, about 75 miles away.
After a trial last month, Sajeenthira Dharmendra, residing at Springfield Mews, Mill Road, Aveley, near South Ockendon, was convicted of rape and assaulting a female aged 13 or older through penetration with a body part or object.
He confessed to voyeurism and the creation of obscene photographs or pseudo-photographs of a child.
On 8 October, Sajeenthira Dharmendra was sentenced to nine years and six months in jail at Cambridge Crown Court and was registered as a sex offender.
