Roy Humphreys, the Gillingham Paedophile Sex Offender, who preyed upon three vulnerable children, has been sentenced to 22 years in prison.

Roy Humphreys initially exploited two young boys in the 1970s through his connection with one of their relatives. He established rapport with them and secured their trust prior to perpetrating several sexual offences.

A third victim experienced a comparable demise around 30 years later. Roy Humphreys obtained access to the minor and perpetrated abuse for a lengthy duration.

In 2020, his final victim revealed their experience to a trusted relative, prompting contact with the authorities. Roy Humphreys was apprehended by detectives on 18 December.

Subsequent to his apprehension, the prior two victims emerged and provided investigators with accounts of their maltreatment.

Roy Humphreys, residing on Broadway in Gillingham, was subsequently charged with 18 sexual offences against minors, including rape, gross indecency, and indecent assault.

He entered a plea of not guilty but was found guilty by a jury on 20 June 2025 on 17 of the indictments.

On Wednesday, October 15, the 82-year-old individual was sentenced to 22 years of incarceration at Maidstone Crown Court.

Roy Humphreys is currently under a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, which will persist indefinitely.
