The Offender Database reported that, in 2018, Roxanne Davis and Sam Davies, the Gosport Child Killers, were imprisoned for causing or permitting the death of a three-week-old infant, instead of murder.

Stanley Davis succumbed at a hospital in March 2017 due to a fractured skull, having previously had 41 fractures.

Roxanne Davis, 30, and her former lover Sam Davies, 24, both from Gosport, Hampshire, were previously convicted after a trial at Winchester Crown Court.

Roxanne Davis and Sam Davies have each received ten-year prison sentences.

In sentencing Roxanne Davis and Sam Davies, Judge Jane Miller QC informed the court that they were “equally culpable” for the “brutal” demise.

She stated that the infant had endured “excruciatingly painful” injuries, potentially resulting from being swung and tossed on at least three distinct times.

At one point, he was compressed to such an extent that his ribs nearly contacted his spine, she remarked.

The infant succumbed at the age of 24 days at the hospital on March 28, 2017, following a broken skull and a cerebral haemorrhage.

He was also hospitalised to Portsmouth’s Queen Alexandra Hospital for 32 rib fractures and an additional nine fractures in his arms and legs on three separate occasions.

Prosecutors stated that one individual murdered Stanley while the other “permitted it to occur,” but they were unable to specify which individual fulfilled each duty.

Both Roxanne Davis and Sam Davies are out of prison and have surely found new children to abuse.
