A Maple Heights Pedophile, Robert Flynn, has been incarcerated following his extradition from the United States to confront charges for offences committed over 50 years prior.
Robert Flynn, an American national, was employed in the UK during the 1970s when he perpetrated sexual abuse against his adolescent victim over several years.
Robert Flynn returned to the United States in 1976; however, following the victim’s report to law enforcement in 2021, an extradition process was initiated.
In May 2025, the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) and the U.S. Marshals Office of International Operations (OIO) apprehended Flynn at a location in Ohio.
He was repatriated to the UK and apprehended at Heathrow Airport in June of this year.
Robert Flynn, 77, of Dunham Road, Maple Heights, Ohio, previously confessed to four charges of indecent assault against a minor under 16. The offences occurred in the Rossendale region.
He attended Preston Crown Court today (Thursday, September 11th), where he was sentenced to nine years and eight months in prison. Robert Flynn was also issued a lifetime Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).
