Ricky Stubberfield, the Plympton Paedophile, operating a teeth-whitening salon in Plymouth, has been found guilty of multiple rapes and sexual assaults involving seven women, including patrons of the salon.
Ricky Stubberfield, 31 years old, perpetrated the assaults during an eleven-year span from 2013 to 2024.
Several assaults occurred at the Essex Smiles salon on Mutley Plain, Plymouth, while Ricky Stubberfield served as co-owner and manager from 2022 to 2024.
Several women were approached by Ricky Stubberfield on Instagram and promised complimentary therapy in return for endorsing his business. During their sessions, Ricky Stubberfield made sexual approaches and subsequently assaulted them.
Ricky Stubberfield committed more crimes at various locations in Plymouth.
Ricky Stubberfield, residing in Walnut Gardens, Plympton, was apprehended on 9 June 2024 following multiple complaints lodged with the police.
Laura Opie of the Crown Prosecution Service stated: “The evidence submitted in this case unequivocally illustrated Ricky Stubberfield’s extensive history of rape and sexual assault.”
“This included offences carried out at the Essex Smiles teeth-whitening salon in Plymouth, where Ricky Stubberfield used his position to lure women with the promise of free treatment, before sexually assaulting them.
“The women who so bravely came forward to give evidence all described very similar experiences with Ricky Stubberfield, revealing a horrifying picture of a man who repeatedly abused women for his own sexual gratification.
“The Crown Prosecution Service is committed to securing justice for the victims of rape and sexual abuse, and we will continue to work closely with the police to prosecute offenders to the full extent of the law.”

Ricky Stubberfield was found guilty with unanimous verdicts on 23 counts:
- 8 counts of rape
- 9 counts of sexual assault
- 4 counts of assault by penetration
- 1 count of making indecent images of a child
- 1 count of exposure
Ricky Stubberfield will be sentenced at Plymouth Crown Court on 21 October 2025.

Ricky Stubberfield, the Plymouth Paedophile, has been sentenced to 26 years in prison for sexually assaulting women, including those he enticed to his teeth-whitening business with promises of complimentary treatment.
Ricky Stubberfield, 31, contacted prominent young women on Instagram to propose complimentary treatments in return for endorsements of his firm on their networks.
However, when the unsuspecting victims visited his Essex Smiles business on Mutley Plain, they were instead confronted with lascivious comments and coercive sexual assaults.
Ricky Stubberfield, residing in Walnut Gardens, Plympton, perpetrated abuse against three women who responded to his social media solicitation, as well as two additional regular female patrons at the salon, between 2022 and 2024.
Nonetheless, Plymouth Crown Court was informed that his sexual offences commenced several years prior. He had assaulted three more females at several locations, including a concert, between 2013 and 2022.
In June, Ricky Stubberfield was found guilty of 23 charges, including eight counts of rape, nine counts of sexual assault, four instances of digital penetration, indecent exposure, and the creation of an indecent image of a minor.
They could not achieve a majority verdict on three further charges: rape, digital penetration, and sexual assault.
On 21 October at Plymouth Crown Court, Ricky Stubberfield was sentenced to 26 years in prison, along with an additional six years on licence. He will also be registered on the Sex Offenders’ Register for life.
