The Offender Database reported that, in 2024, Ricci David Thomas, an ALLEGED Saint Asaph Rapist, 26-year-old, was charged with the rape of a woman in Abergele.
The offence was reported to North Wales Police on Saturday, 23 November 2024.
The victim reported that the incident had occurred close to Bridge Street, Abergele, the previous night.
Police say that following his arrest, Ricci David Thomas has been charged with rape and assault by penetration.
He appeared before Llandudno Magistrates’ Court earlier on Tuesday, 26 November 2024 and has been remanded in custody.
Ricci David Thomas will next appear at Caernarfon Crown Court on 6 January 2025.
UPDATE 2025
Ricci David Thomas, 27, of Bro Havard, was acquitted of three counts of rape, as well as one charge each of assault by penetration and sexual assault, at Mould Crown Court.
Judge Nicola Jones instructed the jury to deliver “not guilty” verdicts following her acceptance of an application from Thomas’s counsel for the dismissal of the charges against him.
Ricci David Thomas faced charges related to an alleged incident in Abergele on November 23, 2024, with his trial commencing on September 22, 2025.
The prosecution will not appeal Judge Jones’ ruling.
Judge Jones informed the jury: “Upon reviewing the case, I have concluded that a conviction based on the evidence is unattainable.”
“Consequently, I approved the motion for the case to be dismissed.”
This case was exceedingly challenging. There is no criticism of the complainant in this case.
