A 22-year-old Sex Offender from Fratton, Rene Blankson, has been sentenced to five years in prison after being convicted of forcing an English girl into oral sex during a seven-day trial at Portsmouth Crown Court.
Rene Blankson of Ernest Road in Fratton was apprehended and subsequently indicted following the assault of a 16-year-old girl in Fratton on the morning of Saturday, July 20, of the previous year.
The adolescent was traversing Fratton Road at approximately 01:15 am when an unfamiliar male began to harass her.
He thereafter seized her and perpetrated sexual assault in St Mary’s churchyard.
The girl successfully extricated herself and fled. She approached a member of the public and asked assistance.
On Thursday, May 1, 2025, Rene Blankson was convicted of sexually assaulting a female aged thirteen or older through penetration with a body part by a jury at Portsmouth Crown Court.
On Thursday, 14 August, he was convicted by the same court to five years of imprisonment, followed by an extra three-year extended licence period, and is subject to a lifelong restraining order.
Subsequent to the trial, Rene Blankson was acquitted of further charges, including sexual assault and non-fatal strangling.
