Raif Mentesh, the Carlisle Paedophile, has been sentenced to imprisonment today (October 10) for rape and sexual assault of a minor.
Raif Mentesh, 45, of Dowbeck Road, Carlisle, received a 14-year prison sentence at Carlisle Crown Court.
Raif Mentesh is required to register with the police indefinitely and has been subjected to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
This offence was committed against a single victim before 2024.
Detective Constable Linzi Wilkinson of Cumberland CID stated, “If you are a child or young person who has been a victim of sexual offences, please inform someone and report this to the police so that we can conduct an investigation.”
“We regard reports of this nature with utmost seriousness and will exert all efforts to ensure that offenders are brought to justice, as demonstrated in today’s case.
“Assistance is accessible, and the Constabulary collaborates closely with reputable partner agencies to deliver support that is customised to an individual’s situation.”
