The Offender Database reported that Philip Railton, a Weaverham Paedophile Child Molester, who persistently sexually assaulted a nine-year-old child in her residence, has been sentenced to 12 years in prison.

Philip Railton, 38, of Clitheroe Road, Northwich, Cheshire, perpetrated oral rape and sexual touching in Northwich from November 2014 to August 2015.

Two years after the assaults occurred, the victim, characterised in court as fragile, composed a letter to a ‘police officer,’ which was discovered in her bag.

The victim’s correspondence indicated that she did not ‘feel secure’ in Philip Railton’s presence, following his inappropriate physical contact, kissing, and coercion into sexual actions.

Her mother discovered the note while preparing her school bag one morning and then handed it to a social worker prior to a police officer’s visit to the residence.

The police reached out to Philip Railton that evening, but did not disclose the identity of the individual involved in the complaint. Later that evening, he contacted the victim’s mother from a concealed number, attributing it to chance.

She stated that he appeared ‘nervous and bewildered,’ and that there was no subsequent communication between them after the brief telephone talk.

An inquiry commenced, during which the victim detailed the abuse in an interview with law enforcement officials.

Philip Railton refuted the allegations; nonetheless, following a five-day trial, the jury rendered a unanimous guilty verdict on all six charges.

Philip Railton will serve six years of his 12-year jail term before being eligible for release.

He was granted a one-year extension of his licence and a restraining order against the family. He will be subjected to an indefinite sexual harm prevention order.

The specialist rape squad of Cheshire Police managed the investigation concerning Philip Railton.
