In 2018, the Offender Database reported that Peter Tatchell, the Green Party Paedophile Child Molester Supporter, a Gay rights activist, faced criticism for asserting that sexual relations with children are neither ‘unwanted, abusive, or hurtful.’
His perspective originated from a letter he penned to The Guardian in 1997, whereby he defended a book that questioned prevailing notions regarding paedophilic relations.
Peter Tatchell is a human rights advocate, a member of the LGBTQ+ organisation OutRage!, and affiliated with the left faction of the Green Party.
The then 66-year-old, Peter Tatchell, has since apologised for his comments and said the book he was referring to was not ‘a paedophile handbook’ but was written by psychologists and anthropologists.
The letter read: ‘Young boys have sex with older warriors as part of their initiation into manhood’ in the Sambia tribe of Papua New Guinea.’
He also mentioned that ‘the positive nature of some child-adult sexual relationships is not confined to non-Western cultures’, explaining that his friends had ‘sex with adults from the ages of nine to 13’.
He states: “The positive nature of some child–adult sexual relationships is not confined to non-Western cultures. Several of my friends – gay and straight, male and female – had sex with adults from the ages of nine to 13. None feels they were abused.”
“All say it was their conscious choice and gave them great joy. While it may be impossible to condone paedophilia, it is time society acknowledged the truth that not all sex involving children is unwanted, abusive and harmful.”
In 1996, Peter Tatchell led an OutRage! A campaign to reduce the age of consent in the UK to 14 years old
In 1980, Peter Tatchell also contributed to the Betrayal of Youth (BOY) book, which was published by notorious paedophile Warren Middleton of the Paedophile Information Exchange group (supported by the UK Labour Party), which advocated that any sexual activity between adults and children should be legalised.
Many of the other contributors to the book were involved in pro-paedophile advocacy.
