An Oxford Paedophile racing driver, Peter Jones, who was previously convicted of sexually assaulting a young girl, has a sentencing date.

Peter Jones, 21, had previously been convicted by a jury of sexually abusing a teenage girl in Didcot.

The banger racer was 19 years old at the time and disputed the offence, claiming that what occurred between the two was consensual.

He recently faced a second trial at Oxford Crown Court for rape, which reportedly occurred on December 3, 2021.

Peter Jones allegedly assaulted the girl in a field after the two exchanged explicit photos on Snapchat.

The girl told a jury that Jones had ‘never solicited’ her for sexual activity and had allegedly forced her to engage in it.

Peter Jones, of Furlong Close, Oxford, has denied the offence, claiming that what occurred was consensual.

A jury was unable to reach a decision this week and was discharged. The Crown Prosecution Service said on Thursday (July 4) that it will not be submitting any evidence in the rape case.

Judge Maria Lamb returned a not guilty finding on that count.

Peter Jones is now scheduled to return to the same court on August 23 to be sentenced on the sexual assault charge.

The case has been adjourned to allow for the completion of a pre-sentence report on Peter Jones.

UPDATE 2024

Peter Jones, A PAEDOPHILE RACING driver, has avoided jail after sexually assaulting a teenage girl in Didcot.

Peter Jones, 22, forced a 14-year-old girl’s hands onto his erect penis whilst they were on a park bench on December 3, 2021.

The banger racer, who was 19 years old at the time, had also been charged with oral rape, but after two trials, both juries were unable to reach a verdict, and the Crown Prosecution Service decided to offer no evidence.

Peter Jones, of Furlong Close, Oxford, was sentenced at Oxford Crown Court on Friday (August 23) to 18 months imprisonment, suspended for two years.

Sentencing, Judge Maria Lamb said: “I’m not going to indulge in any speculation about why two juries were unable to reach verdicts for oral rape.

“She had, in my view, been pestered by you for sexual images. It is a fact that she had been pulled towards you by you grabbing her hands and placing them on your penis.

“No sentence this court passes can ever compensate her for what she experienced that night.”

During the sentencing, a victim impact statement written by the girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was read out by prosecutor Charles Ward-Jackson.

It read: “As a child and teenager, I suffered traumas in all aspects of my life due to the assault Peter Jones committed.

“He’s taken a lot from me that cannot be returned. I lost my childhood, joy, and the goals I had set for myself.

“I now suffer from mental health issues. I have difficulty accepting kindness from anyone. [Jones] took my kindness and trust for granted.

“I still have nightmares. I felt like my whole life was crumbling. Hopefully, Jones has learnt from his evil acts.

“He’s never taken any accountability. My only hope is that one day he will. I will never have my childhood back or my innocence because of what happened.”
