In 2019, the Offender Database reported that Peter Gladstone, then 20, formerly of Rosehaugh Road, Inverness, was sentenced at Inverness Sheriff Court. Gladstone, who had previously been apprehended by the paedophile hunting group ‘Wolf Pack Hunters’, pleaded guilty to a disturbing bestiality charge and the possession of extreme pornographic images.
The court heard that between May 5 and June 17, 2018, Peter Gladstone engaged in sexual activity with a dog at his home. Investigators revealed that Gladstone had formed an online relationship with another man who encouraged him to commit the acts. Gladstone not only participated in the abuse but also took and kept photographic evidence of himself and the animal, which formed the basis of the extreme pornography charges.
The background of the case revealed a history of predatory behaviour. In June 2018, Peter Gladstone had been targeted and caught by the Wolf Pack Hunters after he groomed a profile he believed belonged to a male child. Following that incident, he was remanded in custody on July 16, where he remained until his sentencing.
During sentencing, Sheriff Fleetwood took into account the several months Peter Gladstone had already spent on remand, stating that the time in custody was “punishment enough.” Gladstone was placed under three years of social work supervision and was ordered to participate in a mandatory sex offender programme to address his behaviour. Due to the nature of the grooming incident and the extreme pornography charges, he remains a monitored individual within the community.
