A serving Metropolitan Police officer, PC Hubert Kokoszko, has been charged with sexually abusing and assaulting a lady on a trip in Romania.

PC Hubert Kokoszko, affiliated with the North Area Basic Command Unit, is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 13 August, facing charges of sexual assault.

On Wednesday, July 16, PC Hubert Kokoszko was charged with sexual assault against a female and was promptly suspended from duty.

This pertains to a report submitted to the Metropolitan Police in June 2024 on a sexual assault that occurred in Romania involving a woman acquainted with him while he was off duty.

PC Hubert Kokoszko was interrogated under caution in a police station on Monday, 28 October 2024, and subsequently charged as stated above.

The victim remains under the care of specialised officers.

The Metropolitan Police’s Directorate of Professional Standards is informed.
