A Stockbridge Village Paedophile, Paul Robinson, nonchalantly informed his wife of having groomed and sexually assaulted a minor girl, prompting her to promptly notify the authorities, as stated in court.

The judge was informed that Paul Robinson’s wife was reportedly ‘horrified’ by his confession, which he revealed ‘as if it were entirely normal.’

Paul Robinson, a former carer, subsequently sought to shift culpability onto his victim by asserting that he had been ‘manipulated’ into his conduct.

On Thursday, Liverpool Crown Court was informed that his criminal behaviour was revealed after he confessed to his wife about engaging in sexual activity with the adolescent.

The 38-year-old, currently without a permanent residence but previously from Stockbridge Village, made the confession in a matter-of-fact manner, as if it were entirely ordinary.

However, Philip Astbury, the prosecutor, recounted that his wife was left ‘horrified’ and subsequently contacted the police. Officers uncovered a series of communications between Paul Robinson and the girl.

The complainant originally expressed reluctance to communicate with detectives but subsequently recounted how he had intoxicated her with cannabis prior to engaging in indecent touching, according to reporting from The Echo.

Paul Robinson has one prior conviction, having received a community order in 2020 for the intentional disclosure of private sexual photos to cause pain.

Paul Robinson confessed to six sexual crimes. Presenting in the dock clad in a peach-hued t-shirt, he received a sentence of six years and eight months and was mandated to register as a sex offender for life.
