The Offender Database reported that Paul Beattie, the Carlisle Rapist and Sex Offender, has been sentenced to imprisonment today (Nov 17) for rape committed in Carlisle.
Paul Beattie, 59, now incarcerated, was sentenced today to ten years and six months.
The offences were committed against a single woman in 1992 and 1993.
The sentence also involves a five-year extended licence.
Detective Constable Kerry Gibson from the Cumberland Rape and Serious Sexual Offences squad stated, “Paul Beattie inflicted a violent assault on the victim, indicating that no consent was granted.”
