In 2019, the Offender Database reported that Paul Baumanis, a Saltney Paedophile Sex Offender, defined by law enforcement as a “professional paedophile” has been incarcerated after being discovered with thousands of obscene photographs of minors.
Paul Baumanis, residing on High Street in Saltney, Flintshire, was sentenced to 16 months in prison after confessing to the creation of approximately 80,000 obscene photos of minors.
He admitted guilt to four charges of creating indecent photos/videos of minors and one charge of possessing severe pornographic images involving animals before Chester Magistrates’ Court on December 21 of the previous year.
The prosecution against Paul Baumanis commenced after Cheshire police discovered his registration on a social media platform previously utilised for disseminating child sexual exploitation material.
Following the analysis of the intelligence obtained, officers executed a warrant at Paul Baumanis’ former residence on Western Avenue, Blacon, Chester, on June 1, 2018.
He was apprehended on suspicion of creating, having, and disseminating obscene photos of minors, and authorities confiscated his internet-enabled gadgets and computer equipment.
A forensic assessment disclosed that between October 1, 2007, and June 1, 2018, Paul Baumanis produced 77,433 indecent photographs and movies depicting the sexual exploitation of children, including 284 categorised as A (the most severe classification), and owned 13 extreme pornographic images involving canines.
Paul Baumanis was subsequently indicted for the charges and entered a guilty plea.
Besides his jail term, Paul Baumanis was mandated to register as a sex offender for a duration of 10 years.
He received a 10-year sexual harm prevention order and has to pay a £140 victim surcharge.
