Back in 2006, Paul Adair, a DUMFRIES Rapist and sexual predator, was convicted of subjecting two victims to atrocious experiences.

Paul Adair, then 29, was convicted following a five-day trial at the High Court in Glasgow for sexually assaulting a 36-year-old mother from Airdrie.

She provided testimony in court that Paul Adair perpetrated multiple sexual acts against her in her Airdrie residence from 1996 to 2003.

A woman from Dumfries claimed that Paul Adair sexually abused her multiple times at his residence on Young Avenue, Lincluden, between Christmas Eve 2004 and April 11 of the previous year.

The court stated that Paul Adair encountered the woman on a phone chat line, and she engaged in sexual relations with him after extending an invitation to her residence.

She acquainted Paul Adair with her 25-year-old companion during their initial romantic encounter.

The woman accused Paul Adair of rape; however, she refuted the claim made by Frances McMenamin, Adair’s defence QC, that she fabricated the rape allegation out of spite upon learning of his infidelity with her closest friend.

Paul Adair was absent from court.

Paul Adair, an employee of a supermarket, was registered as a sex offender subsequent to the verdicts.
