A Paedophile migrant, Osamah Al-Haddad, residing in Plymouth, found in possession of child sexual abuse and bestiality videos on his phone, expressed approval and laughter towards the UK judicial system outside the court after being exempted from imprisonment and deportation.
Osamah Al-Haddad was apprehended with ‘grotesque’ videos upon his arrival at Heathrow Airport from Cairo, Egypt, in January 2024.
Immigration officers discovered abhorrent child pornography, including ‘depraved’ images of a man engaging in sexual acts with a goat, when examining his mobile device during asylum screening.
A 26-year-old native of Yemen, Osamah Al-Haddad, initially arrived in the UK on a student visa and subsequently sought asylum, asserting that the Houthis were targeting his father.
The court heard that he faced pressure from the Houthis to enlist in their military and asserted that he could not return to Yemen due to his fear of repercussions for declining to fight.
Osamah Al-Haddad, who has no permanent residence, confessed to three charges of producing obscene images of minors and one charge of creating a pseudo-photograph of a minor.
He asserted that he possesses no sexual attraction towards youngsters or animals.
Osamah Al-Haddad received a 30-week sentence, suspended for one year, and was placed under a sexual harm prevention order for ten years.
Osamah Al-Haddad was additionally mandated to complete 150 hours of community service without compensation.
Isleworth Crown Court heard how Osamah Al-Haddad’s asylum application was pending, but he is allowed to live and work in Plymouth, Devon.
‘Although the defendant entered the country as an asylum seeker, he is now working in a restaurant,’ said defence barrister John Hunter.
‘He receives a monthly income of around £781 a month. He gives most to his wife and child back in Yemen, and he hopes to bring them to this country to live with him.’
Osamah Al-Haddad was assisted by an Arabic interpreter as Judge Fiona Barrie told him: ‘You are 26 years of age, and you pleaded guilty to all offences.
‘The category A video involves an act of bestiality which is grotesque and is depraved.
‘You should do well to remember that this is a real child who has experienced this abuse, and those are significant aggravating factors.
‘You claim you have no sexual interest in children. Yet you have had those videos saved since August 2021, in your possession to view and certainly not deleted by you.’
