Nigel Eccles Pevensey Bay Park Holidays Paedophile

Remember, we posted about the Park Holidays Paedophile, Nigel Eccles? Well, this one’s story has gotten quite bizarre.

The story as it is reported

In February 2023, Nigel Eccles was reported to the Metropolitan Police for trying to film a mother and her young daughter undressing in the changing rooms at Westcroft Leisure Centre in Carshalton, south London.

The following month he was arrested, and a hard drive was found in his car spare tyre with a film of an unknown woman, and 273 indecent images of children and a further 100 images which were not classified as indecent but were indicative of a sexual interest in children (cartoons of famous cartoon characters having sex, e.g. the Simpsons, and the like).

He was arrested on March 7, 2023, and bailed, but Nigel Eccles was not charged until March 4, 2025.

When he finally appeared in court, Nigel Eccles pleaded guilty to attempted voyeurism (related to the leisure centre incident), voyeurism, possessing 273 indecent images of children and nine prohibited cartoon images of children.

Judge Katz wanted to imprison Nigel Eccles but he could not due to a ruling backed by the court of appeals which stated, due to the time it took to come to court and Eccles having seemingly made an effort to “rehabilitate” himself, that the judge must give a suspended sentence.

Judge Katz said Nigel Eccles thoroughly deserves to go to prison, but that he had decided to suspend the sentence.

“The only thing that has saved you is how you’ve used the intervening period, and the sentencing guidelines tell me I can’t ignore that,” he said.

Nigel Eccles was sentenced to two years in custody, suspended for two years.

He will be required to conduct two hundred hours of unpaid work.

Sex offenders’ notification requirements and a sexual harm prevention order will be in place for ten years.

The story we have been told by several sources

Nigel Eccles lives at the family-oriented Park Holidays Camp in Eastbourne Road, Pevensey Bay, East Sussex. He allegedly informed his camp manager, in late 2023, that he was on bail and awaiting child sex crime charges, and was told that it is not their concern.

Once he was arrested, he contacted a self-help group in Eastbourne called ManKind. It appears that a group of men meet online every Wednesday to discuss their issues, and, somehow, Nigel Eccles was recommended by Mankind to join another group called Pevensey Plungers. This recommendation was made with the knowledge that he was on bail for child sex offences.

So, we are told, Pevensey Plungers and particularly their sub-group, Beachlands, are mostly made up of women (a lot of them mothers) whose organisers were told about Nigel Eccles’s bail conditions and child sex offences. He then continues to enjoy the club, mixing with women and children, all throughout his bail period, which was March 7, 2023, to March 4, 2025. We do not know what his bail conditions were, but usually for offences that are not just related to online activity come with a clause that he should not be in proximity of children or vulnerable adults at all.

Allegedly, throughout his bail period, he had been hanging around the swimming pool at the holiday camp where he lives, mingling with families and children. A source had told us that a Sussex Police officer was told about what Nigel Eccles was up to, but he replied, “he’s only having fun”.

Throughout his bail period, Sussex Police knew all about the above and were aware that he lived amongst families with children and did not warn any of them.

Since conviction, Nigel Eccles has been given a sexual harm prevention order, and it seems very odd indeed that he should be allowed to live amongst children at a holiday park, so we are guessing the police have simply dealt with him as just an online offender, which he is not. He will just have restrictions on internet use and digital limitations.
