A Newport Sexual Assault stalker, Nicholas Collins, has been incarcerated after persistently harassing and making unsolicited sexual propositions to a coworker at a charity shop in Newport.

Nicholas Collins, a resident of Newport, developed an obsession with the victim following their encounter at the charity shop where he volunteered.

The 55-year-old received a sentence at Cardiff Crown Court on Thursday, 21 August, following a jury’s conviction.

The jury was informed that Nicholas Collins repeatedly made unsolicited sexual attempts towards his victim while at work, including presenting her with gifts of a sexual and improper nature, and appearing at the shop outside of his approved volunteer hours and following his suspension.

The court also considered Nicholas Collins’ prior conduct towards women, wherein he exhibited like behaviour towards others.

Nicholas Collins received a two-year prison sentence and an indeterminate restraining order.
