A non-English speaking Syrian asylum seeker and alleged Bournemouth Rapist, Mohammed Abdullah, has entered a plea of not guilty to the charge of raping an English 19-year-old woman in a public lavatory at Bournemouth beach.

Mohammed Abdullah is charged with executing the purported assault on July 6.

The 18-year-old presented at Bournemouth Crown Court today, facing charges of one crime of rape and one count of sexual assault.

Mohammed Abdullah, utilising an Arabic interpreter, entered a plea of not guilty to the two purported offences.

Judge Jonathan Fuller KC stated: “The case will be postponed for trial, scheduled for May 5 of the following year.

“You must return here on October 30 for an additional case management hearing.

“You will be remanded to your bail under the same conditions established by this court in July.”

The judge upheld his conditional bail, which included a monitored home curfew.

Mohammed Abdullah entered Britain as an asylum seeker in 2023 and was awarded permanent leave to reside.

The student was apprehended at his residence in West Drayton, Middlesex, after to the purported assault.

Law enforcement was summoned to the public lavatory on Undercliff Drive in Bournemouth at approximately 1:57 AM on 6 July.

Detective Inspector Shaun Inkpen of the Dorset Police Major Crime Investigation Team stated: “Following thorough investigations, an 18-year-old male from West Drayton, Middlesex, was apprehended on charges of rape and sexual assault.

Following discussions with our colleagues in the Crown Prosecution Service, charges were approved concerning rape and sexual assault.”
