In 2019, the Offender Database reported that Michael Naughton, a Tyne and Wear Paedophile Child Molester, previously incarcerated for abusing a five-year-old youngster and apprehended for grooming a schoolboy for sexual purposes, was residing in Sunderland following a brief period in Gateshead.
In 2013, Michael Naughton, formerly of Washington, Tyne and Wear, was incarcerated for 16 months for molesting a five-year-old boy.
In 2017, Michael Naughton orchestrated a meeting at Parklane, Sunderland, with a minor for the purpose of engaging in full penetrative sex and sexual activity after online grooming.
However, the child was non-existent and was, in fact, a team dedicated to apprehending paedophiles. He received a two-year sentence for the offence.
Michael Naughton was freed last year after completing a 12-month prison sentence.
