In 2022, a child molester, Michael Lamb, the Worthing Paedophile, who sexually abused a ‘very young girl’, found out he would spend four years in jail.
Michael Lamb, 76, has been found guilty of sexual assault by touching on a child under the age of 13 and either causing or encouraging a youngster under the age of 13 to participate in sexual conduct, Sussex Police said.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Cheyne Garrett said: “The victim showed huge courage to come forward and report [this], which took place when she was a very young girl.”
First approaching the police in January 2020, the victim said.
Earlier this year, he underwent a trial at Lewes Crown Court; a jury there found him guilty of all charges, and on May 5, he was jailed.
Michael Lamb, 76, of Melrose Avenue, Worthing, was put on the sex offenders registry after police verified he was imprisoned for four years in May 2022.
The court also issued a Sexual Harm Prevention Order prohibiting him from unsupervised child contact.
This also keeps Michael Lamb from living or working with young people or approaching or chatting with them.
DC Garrett said: “Michael Lamb denies the allegations and has caused pain to the victim and her family by forcing them to go through a criminal trial.
“This case shows how seriously we treat historical sexual assault. Specialist police helped the victim throughout the process.
“We were resolved to obtain justice for the victim, and after extensive investigation, we are happy with the jury’s decision.
