The Offender Database reported that three of the very young victims, police said, were students at Washington’s Windlesham House School, where Paedophile Michael James Green, 74, from Addington Close, Hove, coached cricket.
Michael James Green was found guilty last week of 17 indecent assaults involving males between the ages of 12 and 16 at Lewes Crown Court. He had entered not guilty to every one of the counts.
Nine charges were claimed by four of the lads, three of whom were individually attacked at Michael James Green’s then-house in Hove during the early 1980s. Police report: He was found guilty of four offences against each of two of those lads, three offences against another one, and one offence against the fourth lad.
Police claim the other three lads were abused separately while attending Windlesham House School. Two offences against each of the other two lads, one of which was committed at Michael James Green’s then address, the other three of which were committed on school trips to the cinema in Brighton and one at the school; Michael James Green was found guilty of four offences against one of them.
Michael James Green had been sentenced to nine years in jail at Hove Crown Court in February 2014 for four counts of sexual offences against four young boys, the court also heard.
Those 2014 convictions came from Brighton detectives looking at information obtained in 2011 that Green had sexually molested a small child in the early 1980s.
During that initial probe, three more victims came forward.
Involved with both investigations, Detective Constable Dawn Robertson said: “Michael James Green’s 2014 sentencing gained tremendous notoriety, and as a result, these seven new victims came forward to us during the coming months.
“We respect their willingness to see justice done and for providing evidence at Michael James Green’s trial, where he denied the allegations and continues to do so even after conviction, as he did in 2014.”

Police emphasise that the charges relate to a period almost a quarter of a century ago, and that there are no present safeguarding concerns regarding the sports events or the school that cooperated throughout the inquiry.
