Michael Harkins, the Stepps Paedophile Rapist, was sentenced to three years in prison today for uploading photographs of two women to pornographic websites.
Michael Harkins, 38, was discovered in possession of obscene photos of children as young as three on laptops located in his residence in Stepps, Lanarkshire.
The Glasgow Sheriff Court was informed that Michael Harkins consensually shared sexual pictures with the first woman in 2014.
Michael Harkins submitted 52 photographs of herself to a now-defunct website.
A video of the couple engaging in sexual intercourse has garnered 60,000 views.
Prosecutor Victoria Keel stated: “She had not granted Michael Harkins permission to upload these images and was profoundly distressed by her discovery.”
The victim investigated an old username associated with Michael Harkins, resulting in her discovery.
She conducted a reverse image search of herself and discovered additional sexual photographs on another pornographic website.
The woman reached out to Michael Harkins’ family, resulting in the prompt removal of the photographs.
Michael Harkins was subsequently obstructed by the woman, and the incident was reported to law enforcement.
The court was informed that a second woman engaged in the consenting exchange of photos with Harkins.
The first woman alerted her about Michael Harkins’ conduct towards her.
Michael Harkins instructed the second woman to disregard the first woman’s communications.
The second woman grew “suspicious” and examined his cell phone.
She discovered that Harkins had posted photographs on a pornographic website and the social media platform Reddit.
The woman addressed Michael Harkins, who stated that he “didn’t want to engage in the matter.”
She subsequently discovered an additional explicit image of herself in Harkins’ email, which, when opened, directed her to a website.
The incident was reported to law enforcement, and Harkins’ residence was searched by the cops.
He possessed a total of 239 static and dynamic indecent photographs of children as young as three on three laptops.
Michael Harkins admitted guilt to the possession of indecent pictures from July 2008 to February 2024.
Michael Harkins also acknowledged revealing a number of photographs of the first woman depicting her in an intimate context.
Michael Harkins additionally pleaded guilty to exhibiting threatening or abusive behaviour towards the second woman.
Sheriff Andrew McIntyre placed Michael Harkins under supervision for 16 months upon his release from prison.
The sheriff issued a 20-year non-harassment order prohibiting McIntyre from contacting his victims.
