The Offender Database reported that Michael Gill, the Edmondsley Paedophile Child Molester, a convicted sex offender, neglected to reveal his prior conviction to a new partner residing with her two children.

Michael Gill, 31, of Braeside in Edmondsley, near Chester-le-Street, often resided with the woman and had unsupervised interactions with her children throughout their three-year relationship, which began in 2022.

Durham Crown Court, convened at Teesside, was informed that he previously participated in a week-long camping excursion in Scotland.

The court discovered that Michael Gill, while under the supervision of the Probation Service during this period, neglected to notify them or his police monitoring officer of the relationship, so violating his Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) and sex offender notification obligations.

These originated from his 2020 conviction for seeking to engage with a minor under 16 after grooming, for which he was sentenced to a three-year community order in September 2020.

Prosecutor Martin Towers stated that upon learning of the conviction, Michael Gill asserted he was “framed by a former partner,” and she accepted his allegation, oblivious to the fact that it prohibited her from contacting her children.

The children were thus removed from her custody.

Michael Gill acknowledged two violations of the Sexual Harm Prevention Order and three failures to comply with notification requirements.
