In 2018, the Offender Database reported that Michael Fletcher-Flint, the Brinsworth Paedophile Child Molester, a school site manager, utilised the dating application Grindr to transmit pornographic images to a purported “12-year-old boy,” who was, in fact, an undercover police officer.
Michael Fletcher-Flint (then 48), residing on Bonet Lane in Brinsworth, Rotherham, utilised the alias Hung and Horny on Grindr and transmitted photographs of his genitals along with sexual messages to “Liam,” who was, in fact, an officer involved in a South Yorkshire Police undercover operation.
Michael Fletcher-Flint, dismissed from his position at Outwood Academy, Sheffield, believed he had scheduled a meeting with the boy in a supermarket, but was instead confronted by police officers and apprehended.
He was sentenced to two years in prison at Sheffield Crown Court yesterday and received a five-year sexual harm prevention order.
According to Ms Zaiban Alam, the prosecutor, Michael Fletcher-Flint was monitored by law enforcement via Grindr at multiple locations, including his residence in Brinsworth and Outwood Academy, throughout the period from August to September.
The defendant initiated the dialogue by stating, ‘You’re f***ing gorgeous. I would like to help you try other things,” Ms Alam stated before the court.
Michael Fletcher-Flint transmitted photographs of his exposed genitalia to the youngster and solicited his sexual orientation.
Liam responded to Michael Fletcher-Flint, stating, “I am only 12 years old.”
Michael Fletcher-Flint scheduled a meeting with the youngster at Asda in Crystal Peaks, Sheffield, and awaited him in the public restrooms, Ms Alam informed the court.
He was apprehended by cops and stated, “I had no intention of acting.”
Michael Fletcher-Flint admitted guilt to charges of attempting to engage a minor in sexual communications, attempting to meet a minor after sexual grooming, and possession of a bladed weapon during a prior hearing.
Upon his detention, police discovered a Stanley knife in his possession; however, the prosecution did not attempt to associate it with the other charges.
