Michael Brown, a 23-year-old rapist from Dursley, was incarcerated for two charges of rape after confessing to the acts against two past partners.
Two women have relinquished their right to anonymity and urged other victims and survivors of rape to pursue assistance.
Subsequent to the sentencing, Chelsea McPherson and Rio Wager relinquished their entitlement to perpetual anonymity.
On 14 May, Judge Rupert Lowe sentenced Michael Brown to four years of imprisonment, which was subsequently reduced to three years and two months due to his guilty plea.
Michael Brown was mandated to spend a minimum of 19 months and was issued a 12-year restraining order prohibiting contact with both Chelsea and Rio.
Both ladies, accompanied by the investigating officer and their support advocates, sent a letter to the Attorney General’s Office requesting that the sentence be referred to the Court of Appeal under the Unduly Lenient Sentence system. Nonetheless, this endeavour was unsuccessful.
