The Offender Database reported that Michael Bell, the Hardwick Sex Offender, a shopkeeper convicted of sexually assaulting a volunteer and a client on his property, has been sentenced to two years in prison.
Michael Bell, 68, operated a business in Hardwick, South Cambridgeshire, and exploited his position to inappropriately touch a female volunteer multiple times from March to July 2021.
Throughout the four-month duration, he made frequent sexual comments and molested her multiple times, inappropriately caressing her body over her clothing.
The incidents were revealed on 6 August of the subsequent year, following his unlawful touching of a client, who subsequently reported the attack to the police.
Michael Bell, residing on High Street in Yelling, St Neots, refuted all allegations but was convicted of seven counts of sexual assault after a trial at Peterborough Crown Court last month.
Michael Bell was sentenced by the same court on Friday, 14 November, to two years of imprisonment for each charge, to be served concurrently.
Furthermore, he received an indefinite restraining order and a mandate to register with the police pursuant to the Sexual Offences Act for a duration of ten years.
