The courage of four victims has been commended following Michael Barker’s, the Durham Paedophile, conviction for nine child sexual crimes.
Michael Barker, 71, presently residing in Albert Hill, Durham, was convicted of six counts of indecent assault, two instances of rape, and gross indecency with a child during a trial at Swindon Crown Court last week.
The allegations pertain to events that transpired between 1974 and 1997 at multiple locations in Swindon, Chippenham, and Bishop Auckland. Michael Barker perpetrated sexual assaults against young girls who were familiar with him and placed their trust in him.
Michael Barker is scheduled for sentencing at a future date.
