In 2018, the Offender Database reported that Matthew Walke, 26, of Eskdale Close, Eastbourne, was sentenced at Hove Crown Court.

Matthew Walke was jailed for eight years after pleading guilty to multiple sexual offences involving three young girls aged between 13 and 15. The court heard that Matthew Walke, who was unemployed, befriended the girls online and pressured them into sexual exchanges, acquiring indecent photographs from them in the process.

Matthew Walke was ordered to sign the sex offenders register for life and was handed a Sexual Harm Prevention Order. Detective Constable Julie Nightingale described Matthew Walke as a “predatory menace” who ensnared innocent girls in a web of perverted abuse, only being caught after a family reported concerns about his attention toward a 12-year-old girl.
