Marvin Jay Macauba, the Craigavon Paedophile, residing on Drumford Close, stood in the dock at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on Friday, facing charges of attempted sexual communication with a child, attempting to meet a child following sexual grooming, and incitement to share an indecent photograph of a child.

The 36-year-old, Marvin Jay Macauba, made a brief appearance, affirming his identity and acknowledging his comprehension of the charges levelled against him.

A police constable informed the court that he possessed knowledge of the facts and could link the accused to the allegations.

The allegations pertain to suspected acts that occurred on July 9, however no specifics of the purported incident were disclosed.

Marvin Jay Macauba was released on his own bail of £300 and was warned, as part of his bail conditions, not to have any unsupervised contact with any child under 16 without prior approval of Social Services.

Defence counsel, in applying for legal aid, explained that Marvin Jay Macauba is currently suspended from his role as an NHS nurse. He was handed an 18-month interim ban in July by the Nursing and Midwifery Council.

District Judge Michael Ranaghan granted legal aid and adjourned the case until January 10.
