In 2019, the Offender Database reported that Martin Maughan, a Gerrards Cross Paedophile Child Molester and Rapist, who sexually abused an old widow shortly after attempting to abduct a teenager, was sentenced to over 11 years in prison.

A judge was informed that Martin Maughan, part of a group of touring Nonce travellers, forcibly entered the residence of an 83-year-old woman in Stoke Poges and perpetrated a violent sexual assault on August 24 of the previous year.

Martin Maughan, then 31, thereafter evaded law enforcement, committing additional offences, including being observed driving at 100 mph on a 30 mph stretch, navigating the M25 motorway in the wrong direction, and carjacking two vehicles during his drug-induced criminal spree.

On Wednesday, Martin Maughan, who stands 6 feet 2 inches tall and resides at Wapsey Wood Caravan Park on Oxford Road in Gerrards Cross, South Buckinghamshire, was sentenced for his offences, all of which he acknowledged.

Judge Paul Dugdale praised the courage of the grandmother and schoolgirl victims, but noted from the pensioner’s victim impact statement that she may never fully recover from her trauma inflicted by her assailant.

The prosecutor at Reading Crown Court recounted how the devious defendant enquired of the elderly victim about the whereabouts of any men in her residence before forcibly entering and subjecting her to appalling sexual abuse.

The diminutive elderly widow, measuring merely 5 feet 2 inches, valiantly resisted Martin Maughan’s savage assault; however, she sustained internal bruises and haemorrhaging.

The court was informed that, as he departed, Martin Maughan enquired, “Are you dead?” while leaving the widow on the floor.

Fifteen minutes prior, on August 24 of the previous year, the married defendant attempted to abduct a 15-year-old girl and coerce her into his grey Ford Mondeo, which the judge ruled was unequivocally for a sexual motive.

Lisa Goddard, representing the prosecution, stated that Martin Maughan obstructed the driveway of a residence in Stoke Poges and conversed with an elderly woman in her front garden, claiming to be a municipal representative. He enquired whether he might converse with her husband or sons regarding a water leak.

The elderly requested identification from Martin Maughan, who returned to his vehicle, ostensibly to retrieve it, while the victim re-entered her residence through a side entrance.

Ms Goddard stated: “The defendant then forcefully entered the house after her, causing the door to swing open and resulting in her falling to the floor.” He forcefully closed the door and loomed over her.

Fifteen minutes prior to the violent assault, Ms Goddard said that he had approached a 15-year-old girl on Salisbury Avenue, Slough, requesting her assistance in inputting instructions to the nearest KFC into his satellite navigation system.

He then tried to kidnap her for sexual activity.

The court thereafter reviewed a series of offences committed by Martin Maughan over two days, from August 27 to August 29, during which he attempted to steal £600 worth of power tools from B&Q, stole two vehicles from individuals, and used them recklessly without insurance.

Martin Maughan was previously incarcerated for five years and seven months for conspiracy to commit burglary and was barred from driving in 2012 due to hazardous driving.

Judge Dugdale imposed an enhanced term of 11 years and one month on Maughan, accompanied by a five-year extended licence.

He was banned from driving for a decade and registered on the Sex Offenders Register for life.

Upon hearing this, Martin Maughan, who had been vociferously objecting during the sentencing, raised his arms and declared, “I’m not a sex offender!”

He asserted, “The court is deceptive.” “You will receive a substantial pay cheque now, will you not?” and exclaimed, “I love you, darling!” to a woman in the public gallery.

The deviant, like-minded woman responded emphatically, “I love you as well.” Until tomorrow!

Martin Maughan confessed to sexual assault by penetration, trespass with intent to conduct sexual assault, and attempted abduction.

Martin Maughan also confessed to counts of theft, attempted theft, hazardous driving, aggravated vehicle taking, and driving while disqualified.
