Martin Glover, the Morecambe Rapist, who used a vulnerable woman prior to raping her, has been incarcerated.
In April 2023, Martin Glover encountered his victim during a night out in Morecambe.
He initially performed as a good Samaritan by providing the woman with shelter, but subsequently assaulted her at a location in the town.
Martin Glover, 39, of Clarendon Road West, Morecambe, entered a guilty plea to rape during a hearing in June of this year and returned to Preston Crown Court for sentencing today (Friday, October 3rd).
He was sentenced to seven and a half years in prison and had to register as a sex offender for life.
In a statement, the victim, in her 30s, described how she was a shadow of her former self as a result of the attack, that Martin Glover had stolen her dignity and that she suffered from anxiety and sleepless nights.
